All about the Mazzer Philos – Single dose, 64 mm
The Philos is Mazzer’s light commercial single-dose grinder: you weigh the beans for one cup, grind them and switch coffees without mixing. Its 64 mm stainless steel flat burrs cover every method from espresso to batch brew with one wide turn of the dial on the back, and Mazzer designed it for minimal retention. It is 15.3 cm wide and weighs 12.5 kg.

Key features
Two burr sets
Mazzer offers 64 mm stainless steel hybrid flat burrs in two versions: I200D for clarity, with bright fruit and floral notes, and I189D for body and sweetness, best with medium to dark roasts.
One dial from espresso to batch brew
One wide turn of the rear dial covers every grind; each notch widens the gap by 6 microns. Switch between stepped and stepless mode with a simple procedure.
Minimal retention
With the dose finisher, Mazzer says retention is negligible, so you can switch coffees between doses.
Easy burr access
The front plate is held by magnets. Remove it and the burr carrier to clean; the grind setting stays the same when you put it back.
Single dose or hopper
Pour in up to 24 g without the hopper, or use the 60 g stainless steel hopper. A 60 g canister for ø58 mm portafilters is included; a ø53 mm canister is optional.
Included
Dose finisher, chute brush and canister. The burrs are seasoned at the factory: discard the first 50 g of ground coffee.
