All about the JURA X4c – black coffee, plumbed in

The X4c is JURA’s black-coffee machine for the water supply: it connects to a tap with a 3/8 inch thread, so nobody fills a tank, and a 2.8 liter tank remains for places without a tap. The P.A.G.2 grinder, One-Touch Lungo and six one-touch buttons serve espresso, coffee and lungo for up to 80 cups a day. Bean container and tank lock, and MDB Connect and Payment Connect take a payment system.

How many people is the JURA X4c for?
JURA recommends up to 80 cups a day. Counting about 3.3 cups per person per working day, that is a team of around 24 people. Check your peak too: if everyone takes a coffee in the same ten minutes, size up.

What do we need on site?
A water tap with a 3/8 inch thread within reach of the machine, a power socket, and room to empty the grounds container and drip tray. Tell us what is there when you ask for a quote, so we can check the setup with you.

Can visitors or staff pay for a coffee on the JURA X4c?
The machine is ready for it: JURA lists Payment Connect, MDB Connect and MDB Interface 2.0, plus Pocket Pilot 2.0 and 3.0. The payment terminal or accessory is a separate item; tell us how you want people to pay and we include it in the quote.

Who keeps it clean, and how long does it take?
Your team can do it without a cleaner. Daily: empty the grounds container and the drip tray while the machine is switched on. When the machine asks for it, roughly every 180 preparations, run the cleaning program with a JURA cleaning tablet. Change the CLARIS filter when the machine signals it; with the filter in use you do not need to descale.
