All about the JURA X10 – hot drinks and cold brew

The X10 makes cold brew at the touch of a button: JURA’s Cold Extraction Process pushes cold water through freshly ground coffee under high pressure at a slow pulse, so nine of its 34 specialties come out cold. The other 25 are hot, black or with milk, from the P.A.G.2+ grinder and the HP3 milk system. JURA recommends it for up to 80 cups a day, with a 5 liter tank and a bean container that extends from 500 g to 1 kg.

How many people is the JURA X10 for?
JURA recommends up to 80 cups a day. Counting about 3.3 cups per person per working day, that is a team of around 24 people. Check your peak too: if everyone takes a coffee in the same ten minutes, size up.

How does the X10 make cold brew?
Cold water is pulsed through freshly ground coffee under high pressure, at a slow cycle rate. You choose a cold specialty on the display; no batch to prepare the day before.

Can the X10 be plumbed in?
Yes, with the JURA fresh water kit for the X line, an optional accessory. The 5 liter tank then fills automatically from the water supply. According to JURA, a specialist does the first connection. The JURA X10c comes with this kit in the box.

Who keeps it clean, and how long does it take?
Your team can do it without a cleaner. Daily: empty the grounds container and the drip tray while the machine is switched on, and top up the tank with fresh water. After milk drinks, run the milk system cleaning with the supplied cleaning container. When the machine asks for it, roughly every 180 preparations, run the cleaning program with a JURA cleaning tablet. Change the CLARIS filter when the machine signals it; with the filter in use you do not need to descale.
