Rwanda Ngera comes from the Huye District in Rwanda, where Abdoul runs a washing station in collaboration with local producers. Our partnership began in 2016 after his nephew introduced us to this exceptional coffee. When we expressed interest, Abdoul surprised us by flying to Belgium to introduce himself personally before we even had a chance to visit Rwanda.

This meeting marked the start of a strong relationship. Abdoul’s dedication to quality and his efforts to overcome challenges, like low coffee prices, inspired us to work together. Today, we source coffee from him every year, supporting his vision and the farmers in his community.

How it’s roasted
The Rwanda Ngera is a fully washed coffee with a stable and consistent profile, perfect for filter brewing. Roasting this coffee requires precision to bring out its natural sweetness and notes of dried fruits. With a total roast time of around 8 minutes, the short development phase ensures a balanced cup with notes of fig, licorice, and candy sugar.
